Hello everyone! I am so excited to serve as PEJ’s new Executive Assistant. A little bit about me: I recently graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Master of Public Administration. Growing up in a rural community in Southern Maryland sparked my passions for the environment, rural access, and public service generally. In graduate school, I completed several courses focused on nonprofit management, and was involved with several research studies on effective nonprofit advocacy behaviors and BIPOC donor motivations. I also spent some time at the Department of Environmental Quality where I learned about environmentalism in North Carolina from a regulatory lens. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, cycling, traveling, and spending time with loved ones. PEJ captured my interest because of its commitment to community-oriented work. I am thrilled to join this incredible organization, and I hope to work with community members in SE Raleigh to identify the unique needs in their communities and advocate for impactful local policy changes.
