Denise is committed to honoring her parents legacy through meaningful community work. As a board member, she prioritizes community concerns and collaboration with stakeholders to drive meaningful change. A semi-retired elementary school teacher with over 30 years of experience, she holds a B.S. in Education from Winston-Salem State University. She is passionate about volunteer work, curating an exhibit on African American inventors, and leading church health programs promoting wellness. Her environmental activism includes completing Walnut Creek Watershed Learning Network courses and engaging in community cleanups and advocacy through the Walnut Creek Stewardship Corps.
